The short version

Everything on the Academy is education. It is written for anyone who wants to understand functional, regenerative and longevity medicine, from curious adults to practising clinicians. It is not medical advice, and it does not replace the judgement of a qualified clinician who knows the person concerned.

What that means in practice

Everything published here, articles, courses, newsletter issues, podcast episodes, narration and conference material, is written to explain how the body works and how clinical reasoning is done. It describes how a process works and how it can be read. It does not tell anyone what to do about a particular person, and it cannot, because it does not know them.

If you are a clinician

Use this material the way you would use a textbook or a conference session: as input to your own judgement, tested against the person in your care, your setting, your regulator and your indemnity. Reference ranges and thresholds quoted here vary by laboratory and by population. Dosing, indications and contraindications must be checked against current local guidance before you act on them. You alone are responsible for your clinical decisions.

If you are not a clinician

You are welcome here, and the writing is meant to be readable. But do not change a medication, start a supplement, or stop a treatment because of something you read on this site. Take it to the person who looks after your health and ask them about it.

No clinician-patient relationship

Reading the Academy, enrolling in a course, or corresponding with us does not create a clinician-patient relationship with Dr Mitra Basu Chhillar, with SOMA Longevity Sciences, or with SOMAFUSION WELLNESS LLP. Clinical care is provided only through the clinic, to people seen there.

Regenerative and off-label topics

Some subjects taught here, including ozone therapy, high-dose nutrient therapy, regenerative injections and hormone optimisation, are areas of active research and are regulated differently in different countries. Where that is the case the material says so and describes where the evidence stands. It remains your responsibility to know what is permitted where you live or practise.

No promised outcome

We make no promise that studying with us will produce any particular health, clinical, professional or financial result for you or for anyone else.

Certificates

A SOMA certificate records completion of a course. It is not a licence, a registration, a specialist qualification, or a warrant of competence in any procedure.
