Refunds and Cancellations

The policy in one line

Course fees are final. We do not offer refunds, cancellations, exchanges or credits on any Course, for any reason, once payment has been made.

Why

Every Course is a digital product delivered in full the instant your payment clears. There is no shipment to return and no service still to be performed; the whole of the material is open to you from that moment. When you complete checkout you ask us to begin delivery immediately and you acknowledge that, once delivery has begun, the purchase cannot be cancelled or refunded. That acknowledgement, the date and time you gave it, and the version of the Terms you accepted are recorded against your order.

What this means in practice

No refund, in whole or in part, is given because you changed your mind, did not start or did not finish, found the level too basic or too advanced, expected something the published curriculum did not describe, had trouble with your own device, connection or software, let the completion window on a Certified Programme run out, bought the wrong Course, or had your access ended for breaching the Terms. Fees are not transferable to another person or to another Course, and are not converted to credit.

Judge before you buy

We would much rather you decided before paying than regretted it after. Every field carries a free Foundations course; every paid Course page publishes its complete curriculum and its completion window; and the free journal articles teach the same subjects the paid material goes deeper into. If you are unsure whether a Course is right for you, write to us before enrolling and we will tell you plainly.

The only circumstances in which money is returned

These are not exceptions to the policy so much as errors, and we put them right in full:

• We failed to deliver. Payment was taken and, through a fault on our side, the Course did not open for you and we cannot open it within five working days of your telling us.
• A payment was taken in error. You were charged twice for the same order, or charged for something you did not order and did not receive. Send us the payment reference and we will trace it.
• A pricing mistake. If a price was displayed in obvious error and we decline the order under the Terms, anything you paid is returned in full.

Where the law of your country gives you a right to a remedy that cannot be waived, that right is honoured to the extent the law requires. Nothing in this policy is intended to remove it.

How a refund reaches you, when one is due

A refund due under the circumstances above is returned to the card, account or wallet that paid, through Razorpay. We instruct it within five to seven working days of confirming the error; your bank or card issuer may take a few days more to show it. We cannot send a refund to a different account.

Chargebacks

If you think a charge is wrong, write to us before contacting your bank. Genuine errors are refunded without argument. A chargeback raised against a Course that was delivered as described is a breach of the Terms; the Course and your account may be suspended while it is resolved, we will contest it with the record of your acceptance and your access to the material, and we may recover the costs it causes us.

Cancelling

There is nothing recurring to cancel. Every purchase is one-time, no card is stored with us, and nothing is charged again. You may close your account at any time by writing to us; doing so ends your access and does not give rise to any refund. The Thread newsletter can be left with one click from any issue.

Conferences and live events

A seat at a conference, workshop or live event is governed by the terms printed on that event's own page, because what can be returned changes with the venue and the date. Where an event page says nothing, the Course policy above applies.

Writing to us

Write to academy@somalongevitysciences.com from the address you enrolled with, and include the order or payment reference. We acknowledge within two working days.
